Automotive Glass Technician / Apprentice

Here is your opportunity to join a well-established automotive business.
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Automotive Glass Technician / Apprentice to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Automotive Glass Technician, or for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who is looking to learn a specialised trade. Full training will be provided for the right person.
Who we're looking for
Our preference is for an experienced or qualified Automotive Glass Technician with a sound understanding of modern vehicle glazing systems and, ideally, experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) camera calibration following windscreen replacement.
However, if we don't find the right qualified technician, our next preference is someone who has successfully completed an Automotive Pre-Trade qualification and has the aptitude and attitude to learn the automotive glass trade.
You will ideally have:
- Strong logical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
- Good understanding of automotive systems and technology
- For an experienced technician, knowledge and experience with ADAS camera calibration would be highly regarded
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A reliable, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in the automotive industry
- A clean Class 1 drivers licence
For the right person, we'll provide the training
If you're new to automotive glass but have the right mechanical aptitude, work ethic and attitude, our client is prepared to provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
You'll learn the skills required to safely remove and install automotive glass, work with modern vehicle glazing systems, and understand the procedures associated with increasingly sophisticated vehicle safety technology.
What you'll get
- Full training and ongoing support
- The opportunity to learn a specialised trade
- A varied, hands-on role
- A positive and supportive working environment
- Long-term career development opportunities
- The chance to build valuable skills within the automotive industry
Interested?
Whether you're an experienced Automotive Glass Technician, an automotive pre-trade graduate, or someone with strong mechanical aptitude who is ready to learn a new trade, we'd like to hear from you.
