We’re partnering with a highly respected horizontal construction company that delivers large-scale civil infrastructure projects across New Zealand. They’re seeking a talented Bid/Proposal Writer - someone who understands what makes a submission stand out. Whether you’ve been crafting winning proposals or assessing them in a procurement role, we want to hear from you!
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for developing clear, compelling, and compliant tender responses that showcase the business’s strengths and capability. This role is ideal for someone with strong writing skills and an understanding of what evaluators look for - whether gained in bid writing, procurement, or a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and coordinate EOIs, RFPs, and full tender submissions
- Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to extract key information
- Translate technical input into persuasive, professional written content
- Ensure alignment with client requirements and bid evaluation criteria
- Maintain up-to-date bid libraries, CVs, and case studies
About You:
You may come from a traditional bid writing background - or perhaps you've worked in procurement, contracts, or project delivery and have evaluated bids yourself. You’ll bring:
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage the end-to-end submission process and be able to meet tight deadlines
- Confidence working with technical experts and translating their input for clients
- A solid understanding of procurement or tendering processes (public or private sector)
- Civil infrastructure knowledge is a plus, but not essential
