Our client provides complete property maintenance solutions to commercial and rural clients across New Zealand and is continuing to grow. They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Southland team, focused on winning new business across the region.

This is a field-based, hands-on sales role where you’ll be meeting clients on-site, developing new business opportunities, and carrying out building measurements and site assessments to support accurate pricing and proposals.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing new business across Southland
• Building relationships with commercial and rural clients
• Meeting prospective customers and understanding their needs
• Visiting sites to measure buildings, assess requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates
• Presenting proposals and winning work
• Working with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery

What we’re looking for

• Proven success in B2B business development or sales
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
• Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Comfortable balancing client-facing sales activity with hands-on site-based work including measurements and assessments
• Self-starter with a resilient, results-driven mindset.
