Engineering Trade Assistant/Fitter

This is a full-time permanent role offering variety in the mechanical engineering space.

Operating across commercial, domestic and agriculture, the business is primarily focused on installing and servicing water filtration systems, pumps and solar systems.

Ideally, you will have a background in mechanical engineering, workshop repairs and installations. This role is based both in the workshop and in the field.

Some training will be provided including online modules.

Job Overview

Key tasks:

• Onsite installation, fault finding, repair and maintenance of pumps and other equipment
• Workshop-based repairs, maintenance and overhauls
• Provide a high level of customer service - face-to-face, phone or email

Requirements

• Experience in a general engineering workshop or similar
• Good communication skills - verbal and written
• An ability to follow instructions, procedures/protocols
• Adherence to Health and Safety requirements.
• Current clean, full NZ driver’s license
