Our Albany based Client is searching for a highly motivated Intermediate Financial Accountant who has had 1 – 3 year’s solid experience in a Chartered Accountancy practice to join their team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks from A/P, GL, GST, to preparing financial statements and more! If you are not already CA qualified, but part way through the program, the Company is CAANZ registered and is very willing to mentor the successful candidate to complete the CA qualification.

Person Attributes:

• Relevant New Zealand tertiary accounting qualification
• CA, or partly completed CA qualification
• 1 – 3 years solid Chartered Accountancy office experience
• Highly organised and strong attention to detail
• Well-developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Highly motivated and eager for success

Job tasks and responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable/receivable invoices and transactions
• Maintain general ledger and perform reconciliations
• Complete bank account and credit card reconciliations
• Assist with payroll
• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare GST and assist with income tax returns
• Fixed asset management
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Conduct financial analysis and cost assessments.
