We’re looking for an experienced Office Administrator to join a respected Dunedin-based business that manufactures and supplies products for the trades and construction industry.

You’ll play a key role in keeping the office running smoothly - supporting both day-to-day operations and the broader team. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager, so we’re after someone with strong accounts experience, who’s confident, reliable, and ready to take ownership of their work.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Daily banking and account reconciliations
  • Processing and reconciling debtor and creditor invoices
  • Creating and updating job files and production logs
  • Managing returns and maintaining warranty records
  • Preparing payroll for processing
  • Ordering and restocking office and kitchen supplies
  • Assisting with Health & Safety administration
  • Liaising with subcontractors to track job progress and invoicing
  • Providing admin support to the Managing Director and Operations Manager

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in office administration, ideally in a trades or construction-related environment
  • Solid understanding of financial processes (AP/AR, reconciliations, job costing)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MYOB, Xero, or similar
  • A quick learner who’s confident with new systems and tools
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and juggle multiple priorities
  • A team player with a can-do attitude
