Our client, a successful and vibrant Dunedin-based construction firm, is looking for a capable Office Manager / Project Administrator to become a key part of their close-knit team.

This is a diverse position that blends office management with project coordination. You’ll take the reins on office operations—handling accounts, payroll, compliance, and more—while also playing a hands-on role in project administration, scheduling, and job costing.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day office operations
  • Overseeing accounts, GST, tax compliance, and financial reporting
  • Running payroll processes
  • Managing vehicle fleet
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and local council
  • Preparing quotes, variations, and project documentation
  • Coordinating materials and project timelines
  • Managing digital files, compliance documents, and purchase orders
  • Tracking project costs and maintaining accurate records

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strong computer skills, especially Excel
  • Proven office administration experience (Xero knowledge is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • A basic understanding of the construction industry (e.g. variations, compliance)
  • A full, clean driver’s licence
