Are you an organised, proactive individual with a background in office administration and a solid understanding of the construction industry? Our client, a successful and vibrant Dunedin-based construction firm, is looking for a capable Office Manager / Project Administrator to become a key part of their close-knit team.

This is a diverse position that blends office management with project coordination. You’ll take the reins on office operations—handling accounts, payroll, compliance, and more—while also playing a hands-on role in project administration, scheduling, and job costing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day office operations
- Overseeing accounts, GST, tax compliance, and financial reporting
- Running payroll processes
- Managing vehicle fleet
- Communicating with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and local council
- Preparing quotes, variations, and project documentation
- Coordinating materials and project timelines
- Managing digital files, compliance documents, and purchase orders
- Tracking project costs and maintaining accurate records
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong computer skills, especially Excel
- Proven office administration experience (Xero knowledge is a plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail
- A basic understanding of the construction industry (e.g. variations, compliance)
- A full, clean driver’s licence
