We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-respected, locally owned supplier to the construction industry who prides themselves on exceptional customer service, quality workmanship, and long-standing client relationships.

They’re looking for a Sales Manager to lead from the front — driving new business, motivating the sales team, and overseeing the end-to-end sales process.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll be out in the market winning work, setting direction for the team, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard. The role is 45 hours per week, but the effort you put in is rewarded with strong financial returns and genuine career progression. For the right person, there is also the potential to buy into the business in the future.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Hunting out and securing new business opportunities — including cold calling and proactive outreach.
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Setting sales budgets and managing performance.
  • Running focused, results-driven sales meetings.
  • Managing the full sales cycle: sell the job, measure the job, and oversee project delivery.
  • Working closely with operations to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.

What you’ll bring:

  • A successful career within the construction industry, ideally in a technical sales role.
  • May also suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Draughtsperson seeking a genuine opportunity to step into a commercial leadership role.
  • Proven hunter mindset with a strong ability to drive new business.
  • Sales leadership or team mentoring experience.
  • Commercial acumen and a hands-on leadership style.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
