CEG is known for delivering accurate, responsive, and high-quality service to a diverse client base. With continued expansion, they are now looking for a Senior Accountant as a BAS Manager to join their team.

 

About the role

This Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager is a blend of hands-on more complex accounting duties, and a management position.  You’ll be mentoring more junior staff and providing accurate expertise and advice to a wide range of clients.

  • Prepare complex annual financial statements and reports
  • Mentor and assist junior staff and review their work
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships – provide business and technical advice
  • Lead assignments - eg budgets, cashflow, management accounting reporting
  • Work closely with other senior team members
  • Manage team to ensure high quality output and deadlines achieved

 

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role,

  • CA or CPA qualified
  • 5 years’ proven experience in a NZ accounting practice
  • Expert knowledge of NZ taxation legislation and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to relate to and provide accurate advice to a wide range of clients
  • A real desire to progress your career
