We’re looking for an experienced, proactive Shopping Centre Manager to take the lead in driving the success of a busy retail destination in the Dunedin CBD.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the centre, building strong relationships with tenants, overseeing budgets and financial performance, managing leasing activities, and ensuring that customers enjoy a safe, vibrant shopping experience.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in retail property, facilities, or centre management
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Excellent people leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach

In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Business & Strategic Planning – Driving the centre’s vision and commercial success

Staff and Tenant Management – Leading and motivating a dedicated team while building strong relationships with retail tenants.

Expenditure & Income Management – Overseeing budgets, expenditure and, and driving revenue growth

Safety and Emergency Management – Ensuring a safe environment for customers and staff, implementing the Emergency Management Plan if required
- Operations & Maintenance – Keeping the centre running smoothly and efficiently

Administration & Marketing – Management and oversight of administrative processes - Promoting the centre to attract increased visitor numbers, leading to improved retail turnover.

Customer & Visitor Experience – Deliver a welcoming, and engaging environment for customers and visitors to the centre.
- Community Relationships – Fostering strong local connections.
We’re looking for someone with retail property or facilities management experience, strong financial acumen, and outstanding people skills. You’ll be a strategic thinker who thrives on variety and enjoys making a tangible impact.
Salary: $90,000 – $110k+ per annum and performance bonuses
Hours of work – Generally Monday–Friday, during usual business hours.
Some additional shifts or on-call hours will be required to ensure sufficient cover for the centre’s opening hours and to cover staff leave.
